Course Description:

Construction Technology is a three year program comprised of Construction Technology IConstruction Technology II, and Practicum in Construction Technology. In the first course, students gain knowledge and skills in safety, tool usage, building materials, codes, foundations, and residential wood framing. Students will frame a basic wood frame structure with a door and window. Students will also be working towards earning the NCCER Certifications. The NCCER Core Certification must be achieved before the student is eligible for the NCCER Carpentry Level 1 Certification. In the second course, students learn the finishing skills while working towards the NCCER Carpentry Level 2 Certification.
